Notes:
  1. PC control of any R-AXIS system requires a license for the CrystalClear or StructureStudio software package.
  2. The computer MUST contain three (3) free PCI slots.
  3. For SCSI based data transfer, the SCSI-ADAP-2930 card and cable (item 3B) is required. An upgraded version of this card cannot be substituted. The Adaptec SCSI card (Item 3B) should only be connected to the R-AXIS. It is needed for R-AXIS systems shipped prior to April 2004. Other SCSI devices (such as disk drives or tape drives) must not be connected to this card. These other devices may be connected to another SCSI card (either a second expansion card or an internal controller on the motherboard).
  4. Networking capabilities for the control computer should be provided to facilitate installation.
  5. Prior to purchasing your R-AXIS control PC, it is imperative that you e-mail the exact PC configuration to Rigaku for a final check to ensure compatibility. Please e-mail this information to comp-support@rigaku.com
  6. It is recommended that the PC (CPU box only) be shipped to Rigaku (freight pre-paid) for installation of software and related device drivers before installation of the R-AXIS. While at Rigaku, the computer will be tested with an existing R-AXIS to ensure that the computer has been correctly configured. Please obtain a quotation for software integration and testing and/or telephone support by contacting Rigaku.
