MtGUI sample tracking software

Bridging the gap between your crystallization and X-ray data collection experiments

Rigaku RFID pin (left), designed around SPINE specifications, and a Hampton 2D barcoded pin (right)

MtGUI is a state-of-the-art software package that bridges the gap between your crystallization and diffraction experiments. Use MtGUI to review plate inspections, choose a crystal from a crystallization drop, scan an RFID (Radio Frequency IDentification) or barcoded sample pin, record where the crystal is placed in a puck, and output ACTOR™-ready files.

MtGUI easily integrates with Rigaku's ACTOR robot to automatically screen and collect data for your samples. MtGUI's "plug and play" capability also benefits standalone users who want to expand their crystal mounting process to include sample logging capabilities independent of database or hardware connections.

Track your samples

MtGUI makes optimal use of the new Rigaku RFID pins. Together, these two tools constitute a major advance in the tracking of crystallographic information. MtGUI and RFID allow you to know exactly what a crystal is, when it was harvested, where it came from, and how the sample performed in X-ray experiments.

Track your experiments

MtGUI displays the final inspection images of the tray along with the crystallization conditions (when coupled with CrystalTrak™) and can be integrated with a camera at your mounting station to capture live images. MtGUI ties each sample to your magazine for easy portability to ACTOR software.

Track your success

MtGUI bridges the gap in your structure solution pipeline so that you'll never lose sample history again. Eliminate human error by automatically linking both the crystallization and diffraction experiments. This "first of a kind" product provides a paper-free tool to track all your experiments and maintain an electronic history of the entire life of each crystal.
